Lil Wayne - A Milli (Harmonimix)

ok, lemme preface by saying this is the finest remix ever made. i’d typically qualify a statement like that with “maybe” or “among the,” but not this time, fuck you. apologies to anybody else that’s ever remixed any other track.
i’ve had this on white label for a minute, but never posted because tumblr’s music player is inherently insecure. however, seeing as how HARMONIMIX001 leaked to the interwebs today, and people are gonna wrap their ears around it soon enough, it’s really difficult to keep holding back. also, dude’s rip (presented here) sucks ass fidelity-wise compared with mine ‘sides.
if you’ve only heard the bit of this tune that’s been on a couple Untold mixes, it suffices to say you’re completely unprepared for the absolute fervor and insanity is built to in the second half. if you haven’t heard this and/or are completely clueless: Harmonimix is a James Blake moniker—Joe Nice spilled the beans on some obscure forum—reinforcing my blind belief that Blake’s gonna be among the most influential producers of electronic/beat/dubstep/whatthefuckever music in 2010. not gonna go into any real analysis of the track to avoid influencing the experience.
turn it up and enjoy

Fact Magazine Podcast June 2009 presents - UNTOLD
D.Frighday and Friends made it up to Burlington, VT this weekend to welcome Joe Nice to New England at Metronome on Friday Night. We sat down with Joe before his set over a drink and discussed where Dubstep has come, and where it is going. The rising popularity of the genre has been a double edged sword, shifting many new producers towards making “Clubstep”, which is more about working the dance floor than keeping it close to the bass and melody origins of the genre.
We asked Joe what new producer he thinks keeps it true to the roots while still innovating for the kids and without hesitation he said Untold.
Dubstep Friday Tested, Joe Nice Approved.
The 2KDEEP Crew up in VT put on a great night and the good times were had by all. Definitely a solid start to the Fall Tour, we are confident in saying that our new dancing shoes have been officially broken in.
It was great meeting a bunch of the like minded as well - Make sure to say what’s up at Benga this Thursday in Boston, MA (Harper’s Ferry). We will be keeping attendance, best not be marked Absent!
